After the Christchurch earthquakes, we embarked on a journey to establish our home business by acquiring the former 'Not Just Beds' enterprise, specialising in the manufacturing of wooden bed frames.

Our passion was sparked by countless camping trips spent on uncomfortable beds—nights that left us weary, but always reminded us of the value of a good night’s sleep. Frustrated by the lack of high-quality replacement mattresses for our caravan that didn’t sacrifice comfort or fit, we saw an opportunity. When the chance arose to purchase a mattress manufacturing business, we took it—and from that moment, The Bed Shed was born.

This allowed us to craft not only beautifully designed bed frames but also custom mattresses that perfectly conform to any shape, exemplifying our motto: 'Not Just a Bed.'
